Question and answer

Do our job ads have to include the salary?

In short

Not necessarily in the ad — but applicants must receive the initial pay or its range for the position before the interview, in the vacancy notice or in writing (Art. 5). Publishing it in the ad is the operationally simplest way to comply, and it measurably increases application rates.

In detail

The information must ensure an informed and transparent pay negotiation — a vague "competitive salary" does not qualify.

The rule applies to employers of every size, from the first day of your national implementing law.

In the same article: you may not ask candidates about their pay history, and vacancy notices and job titles must be gender-neutral.
